HELP AT LAST!

Recall that a few months back, I reported on this wall that a guy had come up with an interesting venture but was handicapped by lack of funding to continue with the enterprise. See this link:

The guy was producing very fine Maize Flour neatly packaged in 1kg bags.

After my post a lot of people showed interest in assisting the guy. But the one that nearly materialised was a loan by the National Directorate of Employment, NDE. Like most loans, they attached stringent measures which he couldn't meet. That he must be a graduate with NYSC certificate.

Other offers of help were no more than of passing interest.

However, just when it seemed like another dashed hope, a good Samaritan contacted me and showed his seriousness to venture into the venture. To cut a long story short, as at yesterday, this guy and two others, together with the originator of the enterprise have registered a company with the Corporate Affairs Commission and will soon go into production.

I'm glad to be instrumental to a cottage industry that's likely going to offer some kind of employment to some people.

I'll keep you posted on the progress being made about the venture.
