A new police commissioner, CP Kolo Yusuf, posted to Katsina State has assumed duty.
A press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gambo Isah, said he was redeployed for the 2023 General elections.
According to the release, the CP has already commenced mop operations in the state.
He warned social miscreants, (Kauraye), bandits/terrorists and other criminals elements, that it wasn't going to be business as usual, adding that they should either leave the state or be arrested and dealt with in accordance with extant laws of the land.
Against this backdrop, the command is calling on the good people of the state to continue to support and cooperate with the command, in a bid to ensure a successful, free, fair, peaceful, and credible 2023 General Elections in the state.
