Katsina, October 29, 2025 — Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has approved two significant appointments into the Katsina State Council of Emirs, signaling his administration’s continued effort to strengthen traditional governance and enhance representation across key sectors of the state.
In a letter dated October 24, 2025, the Governor approved the appointment of Alhaji Sada Salisu Ruma (Danwairen Katsina) as Assistant Secretary, Katsina State Council of Emirs, in accordance with Section 21 (1) of the Katsina State Emirate Council and Council of Emirs Law, 2025. The appointment takes immediate effect and runs for a term of four years.
Alhaji Sada Ruma, a respected broadcaster and one of the founders of Fasaha Stream, brings to the position decades of experience in radio and television production. He is widely regarded for his professionalism, creativity, and contributions to public enlightenment and cultural preservation in Katsina State. His appointment is expected to strengthen coordination and documentation within the Council.
In a separate development, the Governor also approved the appointment of Alhaji Salisu Mamman as Member of the Katsina Emirate Council, representing the Business Community. According to a statement signed by Geol. Aminu Tukur, Permanent Secretary (Cabinet and Security), the appointment is in line with Section 5(1) of the Katsina State Emirate Council and Council of Emirs Law, 2025, and takes immediate effect.
The inclusion of Alhaji Mamman, a prominent figure in Katsina’s business sector, underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring inclusive representation within the traditional governance framework, giving voice to key stakeholders such as the business community.
The Katsina State Government congratulated both appointees and expressed confidence that their experience and dedication will contribute immensely to the growth and development of the Katsina Emirate Council and the state at large.
