Ahmed Abdulkadir During periods of fasting, I often experience the strangest and most surreal dreams. They tend to occur when I fall back asleep after the early morning prayers, when sleep is at its most peaceful.
One time, I had a dream where I was being chased by a lion. But here's the twist - the lion was walking upside-down on my ceiling, holding a pistol with one of its paws... Bizarre, right? And if that wasn't odd enough, let me tell you about another dream I had recently...
In this dream, my friends Rabe Sale, Kabir Abasaya, and I were on a journey from who-knows-where to from Sokoto, heading towards Funtua. Just a few kilometers before reaching Funtua, my car ran out of gas. So, I pulled over to a roadside petrol station to fill up. Little did I know, the pump attendant mistakenly filled my car with water instead of fuel. We continued driving, but soon enough, the car started spluttering and the engine died. When I called for a mechanic, to my surprise, it turned out to be the same mechanic I used to go to when I had a motorcycle years ago during my student days. And in that moment, the car magically transformed into a motorcycle! It was mind-boggling!
Then, this morning, I had yet another peculiar dream. I can't quite recall how it started, but it seemed like I had accidentally hit a little girl while riding my bicycle. I searched everywhere, but couldn't find her. However, two days later, while riding my bike again, someone stopped me and pointed to my front spokes. And there she was, the same little girl I had knocked down, miraculously unharmed, wedged between the spokes! Can you believe it?
I'm left wondering, who can decipher the meaning behind these dreams for me?
